We are pleased to announce that SustainCERT has been approved as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) under the BioCarbon Standard, providing independent Validation and Verification services for carbon projects seeking to issue Verified Carbon Credits (VCCs).
The BioCarbon Standard is a greenhouse gas crediting program that certifies projects delivering measurable emission reductions and removals. Independent Validation and Verification confirm that projects comply with the program’s rules, methodologies, and monitoring requirements before credits are issued.
Our Validation and Verification team assesses project design, methodologies, monitoring systems, and reported climate impact to ensure alignment with BioCarbon Standard requirements.
SustainCERT is approved to provide Validation and Verification services across the following sectoral scopes:
Successful Validation and Verification will enable the issuance of Verified Carbon Credits (VCCs), ensuring projects meet the high integrity standards established by the BioCarbon Standard.
BioCarbon is a global leader in the certification and registration of greenhouse gas projects, biodiversity and sustainable water management initiatives. Their mission is to continuously contribute to climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development, combining rigorous standards with innovative solutions to combat climate change and preserve our planet’s biodiversity and ecosystems.
